About The Artist
Okanagan artist, Angie Roth McIntosh has a strong desire to use her art to connect people, communities and the world around her.
International artist Angie Roth McIntosh is a Penticton resident with studios in the Okanagan, northern BC and Puerto Vallarta Mexico. She has painted around the world for over 30 years often from life in the Okanagan northern BC, the Rockies, Italy, France, Mexico and China. She teaches several painting workshops each year for organizations such as the Okanagan School of the Arts, Island Mountain Arts in Wells, and Art Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta. Her work hangs in galleries around the world, The Maracuya Boutique Gallery in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, the Lloyd Gallery in Penticton and he Harbourlight in Stewart BC.
Angie left medical school to study art and in 1987 travelled to Beijing to study painting with renowned artist Yang FeiYun at the Central Institute of Fine Arts. Angie has been creating art and sharing her knowledge teaching workshops, volunteering with seniors, doing lessons for local children in classroom and outside en plein air, as well as organizing free outdoor painting activities in Penticton, up north in Stewart and in Puerto Vallarta. Angie likes connecting with the local landscapes around the world and especially the people within them. Angie also uses her art to assist charities around the world.
