About The Artist
My personal intention as an artist is to contribute waves of positive energy and vibration to the world through works of art that are "soul soothingly peaceful". I feel a reverence for nature and a profound connection to the landscape of the Okanagan, especially the lakes, which have been and continue to be the source of inspiration for the ongoing series of water paintings.
Aunaray Ocean Clusiau graduated from the Emily Carr University of Art and Design as a film major where she was awarded a scholarship each year as well as the Helen Pitt Award and the Joseph Golland Memorial Scholarship.
In 1995 she was accepted into the prestigious Canadian Film Center as a Resident Director and Screenwriter. She has won numerous awards as a film director and has been reviewed in the Vancouver Sun, The North Shore News, Playback Magazine, The Oregonian Press, Take One Magazine, The Montreal Mirror, as well as interviews on Co-op Radio Vancouver and The CBC Morning Show.Aunaray has found the peace and solitude she has been seeking in her commitment to painting full time for the past five years. Her work, especially the series inspired by the Okanagan's Kalamalka Lake, shares this peace.
